The wonders of a gorgeous throw or blanket. They bring cosy and create warmth to any interior - not only visually but also practically for the user. They have the power to transform a room into a new dimension; they change the look, feel and aesthetic of the space. Layer them up over a sofa or armchair to add or bring in another tone of colour and add depth and texture. Multiple throws together can also look great, having them all contrasting and layered over each other is a great way to store them and have them on show, also guests can grab one freely and snuggle down.
So moving on to recommendations - I absolutely love these throws from @Arket - they are Swedish Klippan blankets and made of 100% wool. They come in a wide selection of designs & colours; they bring vibrancy to any scheme. Some have edge fringing, others have their edges bound but they are all super soft, warm, cosy and look smart. They don't appear to pill, they stay really smooth, I have a few of these dotted around the house and they all still look so great. The price point is right for the quality that these blankets achieve.

I am also a massive fan of a vintage throw, and have found some lovely ones when I do my charity shop trawls. Adding in some vintage just brings another dimension into the room, they could be made out of any fabric, I am a fan of natural fibres where possible, like linen, silk or cotton. Don't be afraid of mixing fabrics, textures, patterns, as they will bring personality to your space. Have a good scour online for vintage throws, Etsy or Ebay often have some bargains, or you can go more high end and curated with beautiful fibres and period designs from specific vintage sellers.

I am also a massive fan of layering throws over the end of a bed, to add warmth and texture. They can be left on the bed if nights are chilly but visually they look lovely and finish off the room, layer over a chair when not on the bed. I absolutely adore Urbanara throws for layering bedding, I first came across them staying at the Dakota Hotels in Glasgow and Edinburgh, the bed looks so appealing and sumptuous, so I re-created the look at home.
